One of our teachers... a long time ago

Look at this lovely face. She's one of our teachers. Guess who?

We have interviewed her. Here you can read some of the questions:

1.Where did you study when you were younger?
During her youth she studied in different places. She spent Primary school which was called E.G.B  at Amor de Dios school, which was a really religious school and where the teachers were nuns. “Our Maths teacher had our photos and arranged them so the best one of us was at  the top of a pyramid”. She told us.
She continued her secondary school studies which was called B.U.P (Bachillerato Unificado Polivalente). She had a lot of difficulties in Maths and English. “I couldn’t understand Maths and I was so shy that I couldn’t speak English in public”. She told us. However she was good at the rest of the subjects.

2. Have you always wanted to be a teacher?
If she hadn't chosen to be a teacher, she would have studied to be a fashion designer because that was her parents' job. She could't study it because it was only available in Barcelona or London and it wasn't really a university degree. However, she had always wanted to teach children of any age.

3.  Which was your favourite grade?
Third of B.U.P (First of baccaloureate). When they finished that course, they went for a trip to Mallorca and as the nuns didn't want to go, two mothers went with them. To get money for the trip they organised many activities such as a fashion shows, parties, discos or shops. That was the only school excursion they had.

4.What did you do in your free time?
She didn't go out at night till university because it wasn't common at her age. After doing her homework she liked to dance traditional galician dance and if she couldn't she liked to go to her neightbours' houses.

5. Are you as inocent as it seems in the photo?
" Yes, I trust people and sometimes I get disappointed ". As a girl, she was posh, tidy, sociable and she liked to participate in class. She spoke a lot and that's why teachers sometimes punished her. She was really a hard working student.

6. How did you meet teacher Maria?
She met her here bucause they came to school the same year. Both were new so they became really good friends. Since that, they go dancing together and to the cinema too, so they are friends at school as well as outside school.  in spite of being friends, Yolanda admits to be very bad at English; as she says "There's no teacher who can teach me english".
Also, María teaches Yolanda traditional dancing and Yolanda helps her sewing, because María is hopeless at that.
