School Day of Non-violence and Peace

   Today is a very important day for our school, we celebrate International School Day of Non-violence and Peace, so we've prepared some special activities, like, for example, in 2ºESO we've sung and danced a spanish song about peace called "Bajo el mismo Sol".

   Also, we have filled the corridors with sentences about why there are reasons to believe on a better world, and we've been able to think about all the good things of the world and life in general. And baccalaurelate students have organized a fair-trade shop in colaboration with Intermon-Oxfam, which we all have visited.

   

The official motto of this day is: "Universal love, non-violence and peace. Universal love is better than egoism, non-violence is better than violence, and peace is better than war"

THE INCREDIBLE MATCH

Last Saturday Mikel and Yerai went to my house. We were very excited because we were going to play the final of a FIFA tournament, the teams were of three people, if we won the tournament we were going to won 5 million coins.

We were preparing all the things for the final, like: popcorns, hotdogs, sandwiches, etc. In the first part we were losing by 2-0, then I explained a plan to Mikel and Yerai that consisted of some changes on the bank.

Then in the second part, Mikel scored a goal and then Yerai scored another goal, in the last minutes, Mikel pass me the ball and I scored the finally goal.WE WON!!!

All against breast cancer

 Breast cancer is the common tumor in westen women . In Espain about 25,000 new breastcancers diagnoset usually.

it was an accident

        It was a cloudy day, when my parents decided to go to a nice restaurant, which was on the other side of the forest. We could barely see, since there was a big fog. We hopped into the car and started driving. While we were driving in the forest, we suddenly ground to a halt, and my parents noticed that they had hit a deer! Since my mum is a vet, she quickly took it to our house and saved it.

 she had noticed that it wasn't us that hit it but someone shot it! We told the police and they found the killer,and was put in jail!

In the end we ate at the restaurant and everyone was happy!

STOP GENDER VIOLENCE

Yesterday, 1^st ESO A and B went  all around the classes of secondary and bachillerato explaining that it was 25 of November and we were celebrating the day against domestic violence, with thre slogan "STOP GENDER VIOLENCE". We informed them about the activity that the school was preparing for all the students of those levels. It consisted of  putting a handprint and a personal slogan about the topic. All the people did it and the result was fantastic! Everybody cooperated. And the teachers played  a song called "No más lagrimas"(No more tears). 

It was a wonderful experience and we enjoyed helping the teachers. Some students took photos of the posters and you will be able to see them on the school web. 

Lucía and the bear

One starry night Lucía was running in the forest and she saw a bear reading a newspaper, Lucía shouts scared and she returned home. 

The next day at school Lucía said to her friends: Sira, Esteban and Jenni that she was running and she saw a bear reading a newspaper, but there friends don't believe her story.

When the school finished she go to the forest but she don't saw the bear but in the floor was the newspaper of the bear and she take a photo to the newspaper. Then when she was going home she saw the bear drinking water and she called her friends and they saw the bear, they think it was a dream.

They went home and they have dinner and said to Lucía sorry.

S'mores
 On Tuesday we made smores, they are very typical in the USA.

Traditionally made over an oven bonfire, but you can bring this treat into the kitchen. Some people think you can't have or enjoy S'mores without a large bonfire, but you can. 


Put a marshmallow (or two) on the stick and hold it over the fire until roasted. Toast marshmallows over a campfire, turning the stick until the outside of the marshmallow is golden brown and just starting to get mushy.

 

 Take your toasted marshmallow (still on the stick), and lay it on the side of the graham cracker with the chocolate. Now take the other half of the graham cracker and cover the hot marshmallow, pressing down firmly enough to pull out the stick.

Smores are really sweet and sticky, but it was fun to make them.

                          Christmas story

Once upon a time, there was a boy who didn´t believe in Christmas. His name was John. One day, John was putting up the Christmas tree and setting up the nativity scene with his little sister. She believed in Christmas.When they finished, they went out to buy a turkey for the Christmas dinner, but  it was really expensive.

On 24 December the entire family gathered. Everything was going as planned, but John was not feeling very well and he went to the bathroom. He passed next to the Nativity Scene and he realised that baby Jesus had disappeared. He discovered that the soldiers of Herod's castle had been misplaced.

After dinner, John went to bed very worried. The next morning he woke up thinking about what happened the previous night. He rushed downstairs to have a look at the Nativity Scene. There, he took one soldier to place it in a different part of the scene when suddenly, a burst of Christmas magic transported him to the Nativity Scene, transforming him into a figure. He had a mission: he had to find out who had kidnapped baby  Jesus.

THE THREE KINGS

What we know about the three kings: They came from the East, guided by a star which led them to Belén. There, they were looking for baby Jesus, who had just been born. The three kings offered gold, incense and myrrh (thanks to that, we know that there were three of them). Before that, they found Herodes who wanted to know where Jesus had been born and kill him. The story tell us that an angel appeared and told to the three kings what Herodes wanted to do.

AT THIS TIME OF THE YEAR EVERYONE IS HAPPY WITH A CHRISTMAS SPIRIT.ALL THE FAMILIES MEET IN THEIR HOMES TO HAVE A GOOD CHRISTMAS TIME. FOR SOME KIDS CHRISTMAS MEANS HAVING PRESENTS FROM SANTA CLAUS AND IN SOME COUNTRIES THEY ADD THE THREE KINGS.FOR THE PARENTS IT MEANS TO BUY CHRISTMAS PRESENTS TO MAKE  THEIR KIDS HAPPY. ON SOME DAYS THE FAMILIES HAVE DINNER TOGETHER WITH A LOT OF FOOD ON SOME SPECIAL CHRISTMAS DAYS  THE SNOW IS THE BEST NEWS TO DO SPORT AT CHRISTMAS. WE CAN DO SPORTS LIKE SKIING, AN ACTIVITY LIKE THROWING BALLS AND HAVING FUN...ETC. BUT MOST OF ALL AT CHRISTMAS. PEOPLE LIKE TO DECORATE THEIR HOUSES AND SOME OF THEM MAKE SOME GOOD CREATIONS:

                           CHRISTMAS.
THE TYPICAL CHRISTMAS FOOD IS TURRON, CHRISTMAS SWEETS, SEAFOOD...ETC.

What is Christmas without  christmas decorations?
Christmas decorations are one of the most important things about this time of the year!
They are not only in our houses, they are everywhere. Fashion changes as far as decorations...


      

But some people get crazy with it...


                                         


and at christmas there is also a lot of wondeful food and of course we can´t forget about christmas sweets; such as nougat, shortbread, marzipan...
There´s a typical habit that consists of people leaving  a glass of milk with cookies for Santa Claus on Christmas Eve and for the Three wise men on twelfth night.

How does the world celebrate Christmas?

SPAIN: The streets are lit up with colourful lights. There are many shops with typical Christmas products, all the family get together on Christmas  Eve. The typical dishes are lamb, turkey, walnuts,  Christmas sweets (turron, marzipan...). On New year Eve, at five to twelve Spanish people get ready to eat 12 grapes, one after each stroke of the bell.

GERMANY: After the Christmas Eve´s dinner, the children wait for  the presents nervously, but they can´t open them before they sing the traditional carol "Silent night".

BELGIUM: Their habit is going ice-skating after the typical family dinner. Saitnt Nicolas visits the children of the city on the 4 of December to check if they have been good or bad.

ITALY: On  New year's Eve, "Notte di Capodanno", it's typical to go  to discos after eating a lentil dish. Women wear red to be lucky during the year.

CHRISTMAS

Why does everybody love Christmas?

At this time of the year people are so excited buying lots of presents and most of them seem to be really happy. 

On 24th December it's typical to have dinner with your family and share good moments with the ones you love. In some houses Santa Claus brings presents to the children that have had a good behavior during all the year. That's why on Christmas Day, a lot of boys and girls wake up really early to see what Santa left for them under the Christmas tree.

We like videogames because they are  fun and we can play with our friends online.  However, videogames can have a negative impact on players if you play in excess…  because you spend hours and hours in front of the TV! Videogames are also very expensive, they cost a lot money.

The first fashion week was celebrated in New York in 1943  by the fashion publicist Eleanor Lamber.

In the runaway, the models dress up very beautiful designs.

The fashion week inmediatly becames famous , and it started to be celetrated around the world.

GTA V

GTA V is the best game that have the best graphics and the most original history. Compared with the other editions of the game it has the nest background music,controls are better and more realistics. The level of the game becomes more and more dificult as you play.

It´s a game of Play Station that goes about killing people, stealing banks, etc, where is an open map where you can do a lot of things. The graffics are really good and better than the other editions. People who play that game usually are from 15 to 30 years old.It also has an online mode where you can play with friends and other people of over all the world. The theme and history are really good ande the three main caracters are Michael, Franklin and Trevor.
